As TIC como incentivo numa criança com atraso global de desenvolvimento

Abstract

Este estudo, no âmbito da metodologia de estudo de caso, surgiu devido à existência de uma criança com atraso global do desenvolvimento, pertencente a um grupo de crianças em idade pré-escolar orientado pela investigadora. Esta criança apresenta dificuldades ao nível cognitivo e motor, sobretudo a nível da motricidade fina, tendo grandes dificuldades na representação gráfica da figura humana (RGFH). Partindo do facto de esta criança com atraso global de desenvolvimento (AGD), apresentar um domínio e gosto especial na manipulação do computador, este estudo, revelou-se para nós importante uma vez que pretendemos através dele, clarificar o uso das tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TIC) numa sala do pré-escolar. Foram planificadas atividades com o objetivo de criar oportunidades de ensino/aprendizagem e de minimizar as dificuldades da criança. Na pesquisa de dados utilizamos: a análise documental, a entrevista e a observação dos trabalhos da criança efetuados mediante as estratégias planificadas. Os resultados da pesquisa alertam-nos para o facto de haver necessidade de um acompanhamento especial no 1º ano do 1º ciclo do ensino básico, uma vez que o tempo de permanência em tarefa é curto, apresentando dificuldades ao nível cognitivo.

This study, in the context of the case study methodology, came about due to the existence of a child with global developmental delay, belonging to a group of pre-schoolers oriented by the investigator. This child presents difficulties at the cognitive and motor level, especially at the level of the fine motor skills, having major difficulties in the graphical representation of the human figure (GRHF). Considering that this child with global developmental delay (GDD) shows a domain and special taste for manipulating a computer, this study has been important for us, since we want, through it, to clarify the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in a pre-school room. Activities were planned with the goal of creating teaching/learning opportunities and minimizing the difficulties of the child. In the data research, we have used: the documentary analysis, the interview and the observation of the child’s work conducted by planned strategies. The results of the research warn us that it is necessary to have special monitoring, in the first year of the first cycle of basic education, because the time spent on task is short, presenting difficulties at the cognitive level.
