A importância do jogo simbólico

Abstract

O presente relatório, cujo tema é “A Importância do Jogo Simbólico”, alerta para o valor que o «faz de conta» tem na idade Pré-Escolar. O Jogo Simbólico permite que as crianças adquiriram uma série de aptidões e aprendizagens, individual e coletivamente, tendo, ainda, a possibilidade de se socializar. Para o adulto – o Educador de Infância -, que deverá proporcionar, às crianças, oportunidades e materiais para o desempenho de papéis, o Jogo Simbólico permite observar e verificar as necessidades das crianças e conhecer as suas experiências. Por outro lado, este trabalho evidencia a intervenção pedagógica realizada ao longo do período de um ano letivo, numa instituição de Educação Pré-Escolar, criando uma ponte entre a prática e a investigação teórica.

The present report, which theme is “The Importance of the Symbolic Game”, alerts to the value of “pretending to be” in Pre-School ages. The Symbolic Game allows the children to acquire a range of skills and learning, single and collectively, and gives them the possibility to socialize. For the adult – the Kindergarten Teacher, who should give the children the opportunities and the materials so they can play roles – the symbolic game is important because it allows him to observe the needs of the children and to their experiences. On the other hand, this report points out the pedagogical intervention that was held throughout a school term in a of Pre-School Education institution, creating a link between practices and theoretical investigation.
