Dar voz à criança para interpretar e agir sobre o conhecimento do mundo: o princípio de que uma nova etapa de aprendizagem se constrói a partir do que a criança sabe e diz o que é importante fazer.

Abstract

O presente relatório tem como principal objetivo compreender como as crianças descrevem e interpretam realidades do mundo onde vivem. Partindo da sua escuta, elas são desafiadas a partilharem as suas perspetivas acerca da perceção que têm do mundo, comunicando estes conhecimentos através de várias formas de representação e mostrando como a sua escuta pode sugerir o caminho de aprendizagem. A investigação fundamenta-se numa abordagem qualitativa e os dados recolhidos resultam de entrevistas realizadas a crianças de duas valências, assim como a uma psicóloga, especialista na área da aprendizagem da criança. A par disto, serão evidenciadas observações das crianças e análise documental. Os resultados da investigação dão relevo à competência da escuta das crianças, a fim de perceber como estas interpretam e descrevem a realidade do mundo onde estão inseridas e que esta será uma nova etapa de aprendizagem, a qual se constrói com os conhecimentos prévios da criança, nas valências de Educação Pré-Escolar e ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico.

The main objective of this report is to understand how children describe and interpret realities in the world they live in. Starting from their listening, they are challenged to share their perspectives on their perception of the world, communicating this knowledge through various forms of representation and showing how their listening can suggest the learning path. The investigation was based on a qualitative approach and the data collected are the result of interviews with children of two backgrounds, as well as with a psychologist, a specialist in the field of child learning. Alongside this, children's observations and documentary analysis will be evidenced. The investigation results emphasize the competence of listening to children, in order to understand how they interpret and describe the reality of the world in which they are inserted and that this will be a new stage of learning, which is built with the child's previous knowledge, in the areas of Pre-school Education and and the 1st cycle of basic education.
