Robótica na educação: valores e aprendizagens

Abstract

No século XXI, as competências a desenvolver nas crianças mudaram e com elas a aquisição do conhecimento na utilização da robótica. A atualidade assim o exige. É emergente percebermos a necessidade de nos tornarmos melhores cidadãos, verdadeiramente integrados e motores da nossa própria transformação. É fundamental trabalhar com as crianças, desde tenra idade, os valores e o respeito pela diferença. É necessário, também, que o educador compreenda a mudança e a evolução dos tempos, adotando uma postura de investigador, para poder apoiar e orientar as crianças na sua aprendizagem. Constantemente a sociedade e o mundo atual estão em evolução e atualização e por este motivo, é necessário que o professor crie e se atualize sobre as ferramentas e conceitos de práticas, nomeadamente, em questão da robótica. É notório, que esta temática tem evoluído gradualmente. No entanto neste trabalho os brinquedos que são abordados integram características de recursos robóticos, uma vez que contemplam funções de robôs. Para além disso ao utilizarmos a robótica, possibilita que esta seja utilizada em várias faixas etárias e de ser trabalhada de modo interdisciplinar, com o objetivo das crianças desenvolverem competências que lhes permitam desenvolver-se autonomamente no seu processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Ao longo deste trabalho, é possível observar a questão da robótica, no que diz respeito ao trabalho que o docente pode desenvolver através desta. Nesta investigação utilizámos robôs ou brinquedos programáveis para trabalhar os valores e as aprendizagens em diferentes faixas etárias consoante as necessidades e interesses de cada grupo. Posto isto, é crucial e imprescindível que o educador e o professor tenham uma atitude investigadora durante a sua prática, para poderem responder à sociedade em evolução, assim como às crianças que diariamente desafiam o adulto.

During the 21st century, children’s development and learning skills have changed and hence the acquisition of knowledge in the use of robotics. The present time demands it. It is crucial to understand the need to become better and truly integrated citizens, and to lead our own transformation. It is essential to foster values and the respect for difference in children, from an early age. It is also necessary that the Educator understands change and the evolution of times, adopting a researcher role, in order to be able to support and guide children in their learning. Society and the current world are constantly evolving, and for this reason, it is necessary for the teacher to create and update himself/herself on tools and concepts, namely in the field of robotics. It is quite remarkable that this theme has evolved in a gradual manner; however, we address toys that integrate characteristics of robotic resources, since they contemplate robot functions. In addition, when using robotics, this strategy allows it to be used in several age groups and to be handled in an interdisciplinary way, with the goal of having children develop skills that allow them to autonomously improve their teaching-learning process. Throughout this work, it is possible to observe the question of robotics, in regards to the work that the teacher can develop through this area. In this investigation we were able to use robots or programmable toys to develop values and learning in different age groups according to the needs and interests of each group. That being said, it is crucial and essential that the educator and the teacher have an investigative attitude during their practice, in order to respond to the evolving society, as well as the children who daily challenge the adult.
