Deficiência Motora – cooperação e afetos

Abstract

O presente trabalho inclui-se na área de estudo relativa à família e deficiência motora, nomeadamente às relações fraternas quando há a presença de um irmão ou irmã com Paralisia Cerebral. O nosso objetivo, neste estudo realizado e aqui apresentado, pretende apelar para a importância do tema “Deficiência Motora: Cooperação e Afetos. Foi nossa intenção, analisar e compreender a relação entre irmãos, através da perceção que o pai/mãe detém acerca do comportamento do seu filho (a) que é irmão/ irmã de uma criança/jovem/adulto com Paralisia Cerebral (PC), nos aspetos relacionados com o afeto e cooperação, revelados através dos itens: afetividade do irmão, cuidar do irmão, ensinar, entretenimento, aspetos psicossociais e preocupações para com o mesmo. Para além da perspetiva dos pais foi, também, nosso objetivo conhecer a auto perceção dos próprios irmãos, acerca do seu comportamento perante o irmão/irmã com Paralisia Cerebral, sobre a forma como ele mesmo colabora em atividades para as quais o irmão com (PC) é dependente, assim como as manifestações objetivas do afeto revelado para com o mesmo. Constituiu, pois, este trabalho, uma incursão pelos domínios psicoafectivos de familiares de pessoas com deficiência motora a qual revelou estarem presentes distintas manifestações de afeto por parte de familiares de crianças/adolescentes portadores de deficiência motora. A amostra escolhida para esta investigação é constituída por 64 sujeitos, divididos em dois grupos- grupo dos pais da criança com PC e grupo dos irmãos da criança com PC, perfazendo cada um deles, um total de 32 elementos de trinta e dois participantes. No que se refere ao método, optamos por um estudo quantitativo. Após a confrontação dos dados recolhidos concluímos a verificação das hipóteses apresentadas, as quais fazem apelo à disponibilidade afetiva para com o deficiente motor, por parte da família. Por consequência, a citação apresentada posteriormente faz apelo à necessidade de levar a cabo um outro tipo de investigação que contemple o tema central de afetos, questionando, agora, contextos extra familiares pois na perspetiva de um deficiente que a profere “a maior dificuldade é enfrentar o mundo e as pessoas”.

The present work is included in the study area related to the family and motor deficiency, namely to fraternal relationships when there is a brother or sister with Cerebral Palsy. Our objective, in this study and presented here, is to appeal to the importance of the theme "Motor Deficiency: Cooperation and Affections. It was our intention to analyze and understand the relationship between siblings, through the perception that the parent holds about the behavior of his / her child who is a brother / sister of a child /youth/adult with Cerebral Palsy (PC), in the related aspects with the affection revealed through caring for the brother, teaching the brother, entertainment, psychosocial aspects and concerns for the same. In addition to the parents 'perspective, it was also our objective to know the brothers' own self-perception about their behavior towards their brother / sister with Cerebral Palsy, about how he or she collaborates in activities for which the brother with (PC) is dependent, as well as the objective manifestations of the affection revealed toward it. This work was therefore an incursion into the psycho-affective domains of relatives of people with motor disabilities, which revealed that different manifestations of affection were present on the part of relatives of children / adolescents with motor deficiency. The sample chosen for this investigation consists of 64 subjects, divided into two groups - parents of the child of the child with CP and group of siblings of the child with CP, each one comprising a total of 32 elements from thirty-two participants. With regard to the method, we opted for a quantitative study. After comparing the collected data, we conclude the verification of the presented hypotheses which call for the affective availability to the disabled motor, by the family. Consequently, the citation presented later calls for the need to carry out another type of research that addresses the central theme of affections, questioning, now, extra familiar contexts because in the perspective of a disabled person who speaks "the greatest difficulty is to face the world and the people."
