A criação de um ambiente democrático na sala de jardim de infância: a criança como agente participativo

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio enquadra-se no âmbito do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e tem como grande objetivo evidenciar um trabalho de investigação e intervenção desenvolvido ao longo do estágio no contexto de Educação Pré-escolar. O tema principal deste trabalho incide sobre a participação da criança no processo de ensino-aprendizagem, mais concretamente sobre a criação de um clima democrático no jardim de infância, tendo como principais objetivos específicos: perceber a importância de um clima democrático no jardim de infância, perceber como o educador fomenta um clima democrático na sala, identificar as condições para a criação de um clima democrático e, por fim, perceber as vantagens de um clima democrático para a resposta ao direito da participação da criança. Este relatório permitiu, assim, aprofundar, os conhecimentos sobre esta temática, conhecer as perceções dos educadores sobre o assunto e como contemplam a participação da criança no processo de ensino aprendizagem. Desta forma, foi realizada, inicialmente uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre o tema e, posteriormente, foram realizadas entrevistas e questionários a três educadoras e entrevistas a quinze crianças da sala onde decorreu a Prática de Ensino Supervisionada. Também foram realizados registos de observação durante o estágio procurando perceber o tipo de participação das crianças. No decorrer deste trabalho, procurou-se responder à pergunta de partida estabelecida: “De que forma é que a participação das crianças favorece um clima democrático?”.

This internship report fits in the framework of the Master´s degree in Preschool Education and its major objective evidence an extensive research and intervention developed over the stage in the context of pre-school education. The main theme of this work focuses on the child's participation in the teaching and learning process, specifically on the creation of a democratic climate in the kindergarten room, having as specific objectives: to realize the importance of a democratic climate in the garden childhood, notice how the teacher foments a democratic atmosphere in the room, identify the conditions for creating a democratic climate and finally realize the advantages of a democratic climate for the answer to the right of the child's participation. This report has deepened my knowledge on the theme, perceiving the perceptions of educators on the subject and how to include the child's participation in the teaching learning process. That way, it was initially performed a literature search on the subject, and then interviews and questionnaires to 3 educators and finally were conducted interviews with 15 children in the room where took place the Supervised Teaching Practice. Also observation records were carried out during the stage to understand the type of participation of the children. Throughout this work we tried to answer the established starting question: "How does the participation of children favor a democratic climate?"
